About Founder

                               Rajamahes being a native to Tanjore,is a passionate artist excelling both in the traditional as well as the contemporary field of art.He received the best artist award, by The Tamil Nadu Handicraft Corporation Board,in the year 1995 and also received the award for his excellence in painting and authentic workmanship from The Latit Kala Academy in the year 1997.
                           
                                In 1998,the artist set up his own gallery, located at the heart of the chennai city,named Vinayaga Tanjore Art Gallery, with a collection of 300 paintings.His collections were widely appreciated by many art lovers and artists alike.Much was also written about the Gallery and the Artist in prominent Newspapers and Magazines for, the Artist  had added a new dimension to the Tanjore paintings which he created under his banner.

                                In 2005,he founded the Ray O Painters Residency and the Ray O Art Gallery Simultaneously,organizing residential work  camp,for the senior national award winning artists of the contemporary field.The mega art show titled"Mega Visual Feast 2006", which brought together the works of the various contemporary artists was a grand success.

                                            Apart from organizing such camps,Rajamahes himself has also been a part of many camps and has    participated in many art shows, both solo and group,some of which were held at the
State Lalit Kala Academy, Chennai(1994,1996);
Blind School,Delhi(1995,1996,1997);
AIFACS,NewDelhi(1996);
Sachiwalia Club,Mumbai(1998);
Ravindra  Bharathi,Kala Bhavan,Hyderabad(2000,2001,2002);
Chitra Kala Parishat,Banglore(1995,2005);
State Art Gallery,Hyderabad(2005);
Soma Hall,Malaysia(2001);
and Art Loha,CHennai(2006).

                                RajaMahes also produced and directed a Tamil feature film titled “Thambivudayaan” capturing the essance of cauvery water issue, which was the talk of the town in 2009,when the movie was released.
